Suzuki Team Reaches Every Podium

13 GNCC races, 13 podiums for Suzuki team.
October 30, 2008

US - The GNCC season is over and Team FMF Suzuki Off Road has established another enviable record in 2008. In the 13 events that make up the GNCC Series Team FMF Suzuki Off Road has had at least one rider on the podium for each race. That’s not all; Team FMF Suzuki Off Road also won five of the 13 rounds and swept all three spots on the podium twice. Plus, for the first time in GNCC history, Team FMF Suzuki Off Road took the top four slots in a single race when the four-man team went 1-2-3-4 at the 12th round.

Charlie Mullins completed the season of podiums in the final round when he snagged the Racer X Holeshot Award and led for a few miles before dropping to second. Mullins battled with his teammate Josh Strang before pulling away and making a charge for the lead. He closed the gap to 25 seconds, but could never get closer.

"I can't complain," said Mullins. "A podium is good. I wanted to win really bad today, but… I'm getting more experience on the RM-Z 450 though, so hopefully I can use that next year."

Mullins second place finish completed the 13 for 13 podiums season for Team FMF Suzuki Off Road in the GNCC Series.
